Zynga Brands Become Hasbro Board Games

In a complete twist of games moving from the living room table onto computers and mobile devices, Hasbro will be launching new board games based on Zynga online brands.

Hasbro will release through retailers four games this month: "Words With Friends," "FarmVille," "CityVille" and "Draw Something," online games which together have been played by hundreds of millions of people globally.

Hasbro is hoping that popularity will translate into family fun and new life for traditional board games.

In "CityVille Monopoly," for instance, players work to build their own dream cities. The title targets kids 8 and up and will be available at retailers nationwide this month for $24.99.

The new "Words with Friends" board game, very similar to the traditional game Scrabble, targets players 13 years and up and will retail for $19.99.
